Odunayo eweniyi

Odunayo Eweniyi is the co-founder & Chief Operations Officer, PiggyVest. She previously co-founded pushcv.com, one of the largest job sites in Africa with the largest database of pre-screened candidates. She has 5 years’ experience in Business Analysis and Operations and is a First-Class Graduate of Computer Engineering, Covenant University, Nigeria.

She was named one of Forbes Africa 30-under-30 Technology Category in 2019 and one of 30 Quartz-Africa Innovators 2019. She sits on the advisory board of TrainFuture, an Education Technology company based in Switzerland, as well as the Gender Lens Acceleration Best Practices Initiative, a collaborative effort of Village Capital, US and the International Finance Corporation (IFC)’s Women Entrepreneurs Finance Initiative (WeFi). In 2019, she was named SME Entrepreneur of the Year West Africa by The Asian Banker’s Wealth and Society and she is the youngest Nigerian on Forbes Africa list of 20 New Wealth Creators in Africa 2019. She was also one of the featured speakers at the World Bank-IMF Annual Meeting in 2019.

She is one of Business Day’s Spark 2019 Women to Watch and made the World Women in Fintech Power List for 2017; the YNaija Most Influential People in Technology 2017 and 2018; she is a 2018 Westerwelle Young Entrepreneurs fellow, and she is a recipient of The Future Africa Awards Prize in Technology 2018.

In honor of her work, she was named one of 100 most inspiring women in Nigeria 2019 by Leading Ladies Africa, one of 50 most visible women in Tech by Tech Cabal in 2019. She was also included in the #YTech100 2019 list of the brightest Nigerian technocrats. She is the Her Network Technology Woman of The Year 2019. She was also voted The Most Influential Young Nigerian in Science and Technology 2019.

She works to support the inclusion of women in technology by working with hubs and female-focused networks like For Creative Girls, GreenHouse Labs, She Leads Africa, Itanna, etc. She is also the co-founder of the women’s community, Wine and Whine Nigeria.

BUJU

Buju, originally known as Daniel Benson, is a fast-rising 21-year-old Nigerian Afro-fusion singer and songwriter who draws inspiration to create his music from his personal experiences, his environment and the experiences of his friends.

His ability to tell stories effortlessly in his music whilst including vivid melodies and harmony is something that has made his music a ‘must-listen’ as it is unexplainably enjoyable.

His discography includes the singles ‘A day in Lagos’, ‘Call you’, ‘Catch a vibe’, ‘Cool kids’, and ‘Wahala’ which were all released in the year 2018, and ‘Commander’, ‘Energy’ which were released in 2019. He also released hit singles like “Spiritual” featuring indigenous rapper Zlatan, “Lenu” and “Ohema”.

In the same year (2019), he bagged a nomination for the “Rookie of the year” category at the Hiptv Headies award.

ADEBANKE ILORI

Adebanke Ilori- Oyeniyi is a Lawyer and the Executive Director of Raising New Voices Initiative (New Voices), a non-governmental organization working on inclusive governance and legislative reforms and the organization behind the #BreakTheHold campaign crowdfunding the campaign of 25 young people into the House of Representatives. She is also the Managing Editor of Lawyard.ng, a leading online platform for interactions around the practice of law in Nigeria.

She’s an Alumnus of the German Fredrich Ebert Stiftung Open Minds Young Voices, a fellow of the YALI West Africa Regional Leadership Centre and the Mandela Washington Fellowship where she studied Public Management.

Her work is with emphasis on public interest litigation, corporate law, development, and inclusive governance. She is also actively involved in National politics and is the acting National publicity secretary of the KOWA Party, having initially served as the Secretary of the National Youth Caucus.

She has championed the right of prison inmates to education in line with the UN Minimum Standard Rules for the Treatment of Prisoners by commencing an initiative with the NYSC in 2017 to provide formal education to prisoners in Abuja, Nigeria through the “Schools in Prisons” project.

She continues to implement projects aimed at increasing the participation of youths and young women in politics and has worked with various stakeholders on issues of mainstreaming youth and young women into the Nigerian political process.

TOMIWA TALABI

Tomiwa is an alumnus of the well-revered UNILAG where he obtained a bachelor’s degree in quantity surveying. In the last 7 years, Tomiwa has built an outstanding brand by using social media as a tool, to engage with a diverse set of people on topics that matter to them. This has helped him develop a huge audience giving him considerable influence in the online space and beyond. 

Tomiwa’s wealth of knowledge, experience, and influence in the digital space has led him to collaborate with topnotch brands across Nigeria and Africa at large. He is the Chief Executive Officer of Lagos Life- an online platform that showcases the beauty of Lagos from its Events, People, and culture. He worked as the Digital Media Strategist at Ellae Creative Design and served as the Social Media Strategist Flu3NT MESL amongst others. 

In 2018 he emerged as the Winner, SME 100 Nigeria: 25under25 Awards and has also won the “Best Use of Social Media” at The Escape Awards in 2017. Tomiwa is passionate about building brands and is an outstanding voice on TwitterNG. When Tomiwa speaks, Twitter listens!

ENIAFE MOMODU

Eniafe Momodu is a creative director, photographer, writer, and media personality. He has been featured on numerous media platforms such as CNN Africa, BellaNaija Style, ThisDay Newspaper, Glam Africa Magazine, Hip TV and NTA. Eniafe Momodu has spoken at high-profile events including the Warwick Africa Summit. He recently hosted his own event called “The New World Brunch” in Lagos. It is a social/networking event for young Nigerians in the creative industry. 

A successful creative in his own right, Eniafe is known for documenting key events and personalities, particularly Africans, in countries such as Nigeria, Ghana, South Africa, Tanzania, Dubai, the UK and beyond. In 2019, he earned a joint honors degree in Economics and Philosophy from the University of Leeds.

NOAH IBRAHIM

Noah Ibrahim is a graduate of Mechanical Engineering from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife, Nigeria. Noah is a professional with vast experience in Real Estate Development, Sales and Advisory as well as Quality Service Delivery and Valued Customer Satisfaction in the field of Real Estate. He is an innovator and a disruptor that has continually challenged the narrative in the Real Estate sector by championing the development of smarter and greener communities across Nigeria.

He started his entrepreneurial endeavors by founding Sellerrand Realty Limited, a property sales, and facility management company before founding Novarick Homes & Properties Ltd, a fast-growing Real Estate development company championing the development of smarter and greener communities by leveraging renewable energy as an alternative source of power.

Over the years, Noah has successfully built a stronger Novarick brand by diversifying into other industries. This attempt at diversification gave birth to Novarick Constructions, Novarick Agro-allied, and Novarick Technologies. 

As a young and astute entrepreneur, his desire to encourage millennials and the younger generation to invest in Real Estate led to the initiative, Novarick Under 30, which is a Real Estate investment scheme that avails millennials and low-income earners the opportunity to invest smartly and early in Real Estate by significantly reducing the cost barrier associated with Real Estate investment. This initiative achieved massive success and has made over 1,000 millennials proud owners of properties and Real Estate investments that guarantee long term financial freedom.

Annie Margaret Ihoreere Wagana

Annie Margaret Ihoreere Wagana has 12 years of professional legal experience ranging from legal research, humanitarian and human rights law, corporate governance law, criminal and civil law. She has served as a judicial officer for the last seven years and is currently on study leave pursuing a Ph.D. at the University of Antwerp IOB, Belgium where her thesis is based on Refugee Law and Policy Development. In 2013, she co-founded with her siblings, Uganda Pixels Ltd, a graphics design and advertising company, which outsources its designers to publishing companies, creates diaries for school children with inspirational quotes and simple ways of time planning, creates art books for primary and secondary schools and does advertising from billboards to print adverts. She is a humanitarian by vocation.

In the past, she has worked for the Institute of Southern African Studies, National University of Lesotho (2008-2009), The African Peer Review Mechanism Lesotho as the Administrative Manager (2009), interned in the Capital Markets Authority in Uganda (2010), United Nations International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda, in Tanzania, as a legal researcher (2011), interned at the Supreme Court of Uganda (2009), worked in research in various NGOs in Uganda, interned in the American Bar Association (2019) and currently serves as a Magistrate Grade One in Judiciary Government of Uganda since 2013. 

As one that believes in lifting others, she has established several internship programs for undergraduate law students within her courts, and while working as a Research Officer at the Judicial Training Institute. She is also a Mandela Washington Fellowship alumnus (2019) and was also selected as an invitee to the World Bank Group Youth Summit in Washington DC that took place on 20th November 2019 due to her interest in designing smart cities for refugees in Uganda but could not attend due to constraint by her studies in Belgium.

NEW PROJECT:

Margaret is working towards opening a legal aid clinic in Western Uganda for minorities along with her team. Not stopping there, she is also developing a design for a smart city, for refugees in Uganda. We are honestly delighted about this and will like to reach out to prospective partners to support her in making this happen.

HAYDAR DAUDU

Haydar Daudu is an economist by training and an ardent public servant by profession. His passion for public service led him to his current service as a Senior Economist at Developing-8 Health and Social Protection Programme, an organization working to accelerate the attainment of SDGs 1,2 and 3 for member countries (Bangladesh, Egypt, Indonesia, Iran, Malaysia, Nigeria, Pakistan, and Turkey).

Haydar is an Alumni of the University of Essex and the University of Manchester where he obtained a first-class degree in Economics and a master’s degree in Development Economics and Policy respectively.

Haydar’s combination of intelligence, commitment, perseverance, creativity, and competence has enabled him to serve at different levels including seats on the board of Hope for Abused Children Foundation and Sabiul Amal Foundation, a not-for-profit organization working to improve educational opportunities for young girls in Gombe State, Nigeria.

What is most engaging about Haydar’s character is his wide range of interests. He is comfortable talking about history and international politics. He particularly enjoys talking about game theory or the lack of rationality of the financial markets. Haydar’s attitude to public service is built on the idea that service to humanity is service to God

IROMARA U. VICTOR

Iromara Victor is a hands-on Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Co-founder of 8ight Global Telecoms with expertise in telecommunications engineering, management information systems, robotics, software development, and business intelligence. Through strategic foresight, drive, and determination, he built a strong foundation for his successful multi-million-naira technology company.

In 2018, Iromara co-founded 8ight Global Telecoms with four young Africans to fill what he saw as a void in the internet service provision market. Today, 8ight Global Telecoms has grown from a 5-man start-up that solely provides internet services solutions to schools to building Africa’s largest city Wi-Fi with over 20+ employees based in FCT-Abuja, Nigeria.

As a leader and self-sufficient innovator, Iromara is comfortable in any role from the executive boardroom to a client’s business space. He is a savvy negotiator known for strong business development and relationship building skills. Iromara’s innate ability to build high-performance teams, including his strategically-selected executive management staff, has served as a growth catalyst and infused productive energy into 8ight Global. 

His goal is to make Africa a smarter continent and to solve completely the technology problems of Africa.

Victor aims to partner with the Nigerian military to help in the fight against terrorism using smart drones and also give amputees and physically challenged persons a second alternative with AI powered prosthetics. In times like this, we need more Victors. Don’t we?

OMOJO JEHU WADA

Omojo Jehu Wada pioneered and revolutionized the Legal-Outfitting industry across Africa. He is the founder and CEO of Solohan Apparel, Africa’s first luxury legal outfitters. He is an Alumnus of Obafemi Awolowo University where he obtained his first degree in Law and was called to the Nigerian Bar Association in 2015. 

He founded Solohan Apparel, in 2015, in his bid to restore elegance, prestige and neatness to the legal profession. Since the establishment of Solohan Apparel, he has been able to build a clientele base of over 4500 lawyers, judges and justices across the globe, including the Vice President of Nigeria – a Senior Advocate of Nigeria – and other first-rate lawyers, generating a gross revenue of over a million dollars since establishment. Solohan Apparel currently has 3 stores across Africa with its head office in Abuja, another branch in Victoria Island Lagos, a showcase office at Movenpick Hotel, Accra and is looking to expand to other African countries before the end of 2020.

Mr. Wada is also a philanthropist and an advocate for Sustainable Development. He believes one is only truly successful when one’s success empowers others to also succeed in their pursuits. To this end, he has continually executed community development projects through the Solohan Foundation which is the CSR initiative of Solohan Apparel. So far, over 1000 people in IDP camps have been beneficiaries of the Solohan Foundation – with women and children as its primary focus. Other programs of the foundation are; The Solohan Master Class, The Solohan Academy, Solohan Mcq, Free Books Initiative (FBI), and #WhyINeedAgown Campaign which provides legal outfits for under-privileged Law students who cannot afford to purchase their Call-To-Bar outfits.

OLUWASEYE K. OLADEJO

Oluwaseye Oladejo is a Nigerian entrepreneur and Fashion Designer. She is the founder, CEO and Creative Director of the Sheye Oladejo clothing brand, SO FASHION ACADEMY, one of Nigeria’s most sought-after fashion school and S.CQ.U.E.E.Z.E by SheyeOladejo, an affordable ready-to-wear clothing brand. SheyeOladejo, registered as SheyeOladejo Global Ventures, is a fashion company that prides itself on innovative use of genuine and notably exclusive fabrics with clean-cut techniques producing timeless and classic designs.

Her passion for fashion started as a result of the obvious gap in the African fashion industry where attention to details is disregarded. She wanted to create iconic designs made from original African fabrics and incorporating them in contemporary designs. Oluwaseye is a deft business professional and has successfully grown her brand in the Fashion industry in the space of 5 years and increased profit margins by over 100% within this period.

Oluwaseye’s unique approach to her craft has continued to put her on the global fashion map. She has received so many awards and recognitions which includes “The Most Creative Fashion Designer ”, BlackandBold Runway fashion show, 2014; The First Runner-up, Fayrouz L’Original show, Season 2, 2015; and Rising Icon Award, Music meets runway, 2015.

Oluwaseye Oladejo has a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering from the prestigious Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Nigeria. She also has professional certification and training in Entrepreneurship from CBN EDC Entrepreneurship training programs.

Kunle Laniyan

Kunle Laniyan one of the most remarkable portrait and wedding photographers in Abuja, Nigeria. His journey to founding @kunle_laniyan started as far back as 2008 with a camera he got from his Dad as a gift. In 2013, during his undergraduate program in Babcock university, he got his first professional camera and started taking pictures of school events. One of the prominent works he did in school was taking pictures for the school calendar. In 2015, He decided to take photography to a professional level and enrolled for BigH photography- class to keep up the drive and acquire more knowledge in photography – Where he later interned for 3 years before founding setting up his studio in Abuja, Nigeria.

His work has been consistently admired and sought after by many and he has also worked with several prominent companies such as Anadariya, Nul Synergy, Hundaya’s fashion academy amongst others.

He has personally photographed a catalogue of influential people including including The Vice president Nigeria Yemi Osinbanjo (SAN), Sultan of Sokoto (Sultan Muhammadu sa’ad Abubakar), Jim Iyke, Hauwa Indimi and many others.

Kunle Laniyan is currently working on several projects such as “The Ancient City of Ibadan” which will cover the culture and tradition of the people of Ibadan and the city; The Tales Of Sunset, inspired by beauty and uniqueness of the sunset; and lastly, The Flames which is a project that follows the life of a man who was born with the gift of fire eating.

CHEF TAYLOR

Taylor Odeje popularly known as Chef Taylor, is one of the most dynamic and innovative chefs we have around today in Nigeria. He has been creating unique dining experiences for clients, since he developed a passion for food and cooking over a decade ago. As one of the Youngest Private Chefs in the country, superior quality, luxury and top notch experience is what he serves. Chef Taylor draws his inspiration from Nigeria, its people and food. He has designed and hosted dining experiences for high end events and clients. He currently runs His own restaurant ‘The Colony By Chef Taylor’ in the city of Abuja. 

He has received list of media attention for his inspired approach to recreating beloved Nigerian dishes with features on a live TV presentation on Momentz on EbonyLife TV, Lagos Jump Radio, Tribune, Guardian and Vanguard Newspapers, Hot FM and Cool FM, The BBC, Arise News Network, AIT, to mention a few. He has been involved with various charity projects through which he inspires young people.

ANGEL ADELAJA

Angel Adelaja is a development consultant and entrepreneur. Through her consultancy, she formulates inclusive growth strategies for governments and organizations. Specifically developing good governance strategies to reduce health disparity, poverty, unemployment and boost agricultural and economic development, but also experience with international relations, private sector engagement and fund sourcing. She is Co-Founder of WeFarmAfrica.org and CEO/Founder of Fresh Direct Produce and Agro-Allied Services bringing communities together with agricultural technologies to strengthen agricultural value chain. Focused on developmental economics and women and youth empowerment, utilizing grass roots campaigns, technology and innovation to assist these groups in solving global issues, especially in agriculture. She wears another hat as owner, Zahara Empresa, an Abuja-based mega spa and salon. She has served as Technical Assistant and Research Consultant to the Director General of the Office of Economic Development and Partnership in the Office of the Governor of the State of Osun (consultancy ongoing), Special Assistant to the Senior Special Adviser to the President on Poverty Alleviation and National Coordinator of the National Poverty Eradication Programme (NAPEP) and Consultant to the Senior Special Adviser to the President on Wealth Creation. She is a World Economic Forum Global Shaper and a mentor to aspiring young entrepreneurs. She’s 2015 winner of Chivas The Venture – Nigeria and 2016 winner of She Leads Africa Demo Day.

Oluwaseun Ayodeji Osowobi

Oluwaseun Ayodeji Osowobi is an award winning gender equality advocate in Nigeria. She is an alumna of Ahmadu Bello University Zaria and Swansea University, United Kingdom and the Executive Director of Stand to End Rape initiative (STER), a youth-led organisation engaging in raising awareness on GBV, policy advocacy, providing psychosocial support to survivors of sexual violence, while working with communities to change negative perceptions towards sexual reproductive health and rights (SRHR) issues and sexual violence.

Oluwaseun leads a national movement with over 200 youth volunteers across Nigeria and focuses her work on awareness, policy advocacy, prevention and support for women and girls. Over the course of five (5) years, she has led projects aimed at eliminating the prevalence of sexual violence, providing adolescents with access to contraceptives and family planning information, teaching young boys in and men in schools and communities to change their perceptions, attitudes and actions on sexual violence and sexual reproductive health and rights issues. Additionally, she teaches women about bodily autonomy, sexual reproductive health and rights and empowers them to speak up against sexual assault.
Oluwaseun has vast knowledge and experience working with adolescents and young people and in recognition of her work, she has been awarded the Vital Voices Fellowship, the 2017 Future Award Africa Prize for Advocacy, the 2017 Future of Women Africa: Social Impact Award, Queen’s Young Leader Highly Commended Runner-Up award 2017, the 2018 Obama Foundation Leader: Africa, 2018 Women Deliver Fellowship and recently, the Commonwealth Young Person of the Year 2019.

DR. OLAMIDE SAMUEL

Dr Olamide Samuel (27) holds a PhD in National Security Strategy from University of Buckingham. He earned his B.ILD degree in International Law and Diplomacy in 2013, from Babcock University, Nigeria, where he specialized in researching on the global emergence of Private Military and Security Companies. He also holds an MA in Security, Intelligence and Diplomacy from the University of Buckingham (2014).

Olamide is currently the Coordinator of the Strategic Concept for the Removal of Arms and Proliferation (SCRAP) Project. The SCRAP project proposes General and Complete Disarmament as the goal of Disarmament and Non-Proliferation efforts, and works with International Organisations, Governments and Civil Society to advance this agenda.

His work focuses on Conventional Arms Control, Nuclear Non-proliferation and Disarmament, and Multilateral Disarmament Diplomacy. He has held lectures and engaged in high-level panel discussions at the United Nations, African Union and in various diplomatic and academic arenas.

He is also a Senior Teaching Fellow at the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) University of London, where he is teaching on the MA International Studies and Diplomacy programme at the Centre for International Studies and Diplomacy.

Upcoming Projects:

This year, Olamide is working towards implementing an advocacy project for the improved governance of illicit improvised and craft-produced Small Arms and Light Weapons in Nigeria, in partnership with the Geneva Centre for Security Policy, and the Arms Trade Treaty Secretariat.

TEMITOPE OKUNUGA

A graduate of International Relations and Diplomacy from Afe Babalola University with a passion for media and fashion. His love for media has led him to become a content developer in Abuja whilst also being a fashion and style influencer on his off days. He recently began making giant strides in the fashion scene with his bold and edgy fashion statements, creative style and impeccable taste. Having worked with top brands like Johnny Walker, Jumia Nigeria, Daniel Wellington, Onwuchekwa BCD, Russell Solomon, Dumebi Clothing, Crux Luxury Wears and Fen Shop NG, his creative style allows him to show a different side of fashion that is entirely refreshing to see. An activist for being one’s true self and not letting anything hold you back, he aspires to not only change the generic perception of fashion in the world but he hopes to inspire people every day to enjoy being their true selves with no remorse.

NTHABELENG LIKOTSI

Ms Likotsi is the executive chairperson of the Young Women in Business Network (YWBN). She is an assertive, tenacious team leader and player dedicated to the economic freedom of young women.

She has a very strong desire to realize financial inclusion of a large swathe of South Africa’s unbanked and underbanked consumers, majority of whom are women and out of the banking system or have no bank access. She’s an advocate for greater transformation of the banking sector to ensure it reflects the country’s demographics in terms of ownership and participation.

Being a self-starter and believer in rising above challenges, Ms Likotsi has steered YWBN into great success and is now the Managing Director of YWBN Co-operative Financial Institution, a new formation conceived of an idea to realize the objective of making basic financial services more accessible to unbanked and underbanked consumers by minimizing time and distance to the nearest bank retail branch as well as reduced banking and transaction-related costs through mobile digital technology.

UKINEBO DARE

Ukinebo Dare is the Managing Director of the Edo State Skills Development Agency. She oversees the Edojobs initiative and is the project coordinator for Edo innovates (an innovation cluster leveraging on technology to create jobs, upskill youth and incubate businesses) Edo creative hub, Edo food and Agric cluster (impacting over 3,000 farmers in rural communities yearly with improved access to markets, equipment, aggregation services, etc.), and Edo production centre (providing power supply, shared factory facilities and skills for artisans and small scale manufacturers in the state). Over 150,000 residents have benefitted from this State Government’s job creation initiatives.

Her passion for job creation and human development in Nigeria has seen her receive several awards and recognitions such as Mandela Washington Fellowship in 2017, Ford Foundation Prize for Youth Employment in 2015, and JCI Ten Outstanding Young Persons Award for 2017. Most recently, Ukinebo was selected as one of the recipients of the Most Influential People of African Descent Under 40 Award for 2019.

She has also been credited for the execution of employability interventions projects and vocational skills programs statewide in partnership with organizations such as Oxfam International, SOS Kinderdorpen, Google Nigeria, Microsoft Nigeria, Butterfly Works Netherlands and so on
